Kitchen Guard is a professional kitchen exhaust cleaning company specializing in commercial hood, duct, and exhaust fan cleaning. We help restaurants stay compliant, safe, and fire-code ready through thorough cleaning and NFPA 96 compliance services.
We are hiring dependable part-time technicians who take pride in quality work and consistent service. No prior hood cleaning experience is required—we provide on-the-job training for motivated individuals who are willing to learn and work hard.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and maintenance of kitchen exhaust hoods, ducts, fans, and filters according to industry standards and safety regulations
- Inspect exhaust systems for damage, blockages, or potential hazards, reporting issues promptly
- Use specialized cleaning equipment and environmentally friendly cleaning agents to remove grease buildup effectively
- Follow detailed safety procedures during all cleaning operations to ensure personal and team safety
- Document all work performed accurately in service reports and maintain detailed records of inspections and cleanings
- Protect customer equipment and maintain clean job sites
- Communicate with crew leaders regarding job progress and any issues
- Adhere to all OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines and company safety policies
- Work overnight shifts with flexible scheduling
- Travel to commercial kitchens throughout the service area
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to day shift, work nights and overnight shifts( we work when customer are closed and that can be from 12 am-12pm. Typical Shirts are 4 to 8 hours long.)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and am to perform physically demanding work
- Comfortable working on rooftops, ladders, and at varying heights
- Comfortable working in hot, greasy, dirty environments
- Ability to work in all weather conditions when necessary
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Self-starter capable of working independently after training
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with pressure washing, maintenance, construction, landscaping, mechanical work, or related trades is helpful but not required
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort using tools
- Experience working overnight shifts
