What is your favorite part about being a restaurateur in Asheville?

Having a connection to other entrepreneurs in our restaurant community. Making people happy by feeding them. 

What is the background of your restaurant’s name?

It is the name of my friend and former partner Rocky.  He created our original hot chicken recipe. 

What ingredient could you not live without?

Uh . . . Chicken

What is your favorite dish on your menu?

Rocky’s hot wings with Mac poppers and collard greens. 

What is your favorite dish from a fellow AIR restaurant’s menu?

Tortilla Espanola from Curate

Why did you choose Asheville to open your restaurant?

Because I live here and love this town. 

What is your favorite chef’s tool and why?

100 year old Cast iron skillet (griswold). It cooks everything evenly and doesn’t stick. . . and it is beautiful.
