The purpose of this position is assist in making consistent, high-quality, technically excellent ice cream and desserts while maintaining a high degree of productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Daily production of ice cream, jarred desserts, sauces, syrups, bases, batters, custards, brownies
  • Work efficiently to maintain high productivity.
  • Work with care, to limit mistakes and product loss.
  • Maintain Clean and Safe Workplace
  • Receive and put away deliveries
  • Quality assurance
  • Work collaboratively within the team

Qualifications

  • 1+ year combination of education and/or experience in pastry and/or confection
  • Positive attitude, with demonstrated willingness to work with a team
  • Strong work ethic
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Alignment with FBC mission, vision, and values

Working conditions

  • May require evenings and weekends as necessary
  • Primarily indoor work, but with varying climatic conditions
  • Noise & dust which may require protective gear
  • Repetitive tasks with infrequent rest periods

Physical requirements

  • Standing for extended periods
  • Solo lift 50 lb. regularly
  • Team lift 70 lb. occasionally
  • Repetitive tasks with infrequent rest periods
